Pinjing He is Director of the Institute of Waste Treatment and Reclamation. His work area is: Biological technologies for organic waste (including composting, bio-drying, anaerobic digestion, etc.); Ecologically based landfill for municipal solid waste; Treatment and beneficial utilization of municipal and industrial sludge; Characterization, treatment and beneficial utilization of MSW incineration residues; Risk assessment of persistent toxic substances (PTS) in solid waste; Integrated management and plan of municipal solid waste; Biological and physicochemical removal technology for odorous pollutants and VOCs; Clean-up, dewatering, solidification and disposal processes for polluted sediments of water body.
