Welcome to WasteNet's first Newsletter. This issue comes at the first month of a happy new year 2008 after a very busy and productive year in 2007 for our WasteNet members. As this is our first edition, we have done our best to come up with a mix of topics and information that we hope will be useful and informative.
WasteNet is multi-disciplinary, bringing together internationally respected researchers from Europe, Latin America and Asia. The aim of the WasteNet programme is to act as a platform for communication with its highly qualified scientists from Latin America, Asia and Europe to intensify multilateral exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of waste management.
This two monthly newsletter aims to provide substantive evidence and WasteNet networks news in relation to develop sustainable solid waste management. We conclude the first issue with global thinking: an interesting topic in anaerobic digestion project, upcoming WasteNet events, international conference for 2008 and spotlight: the theme of framework of global economy and environment.
